Welcome to Newton County Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Geographic Information Systems was formed by an intergovernmental agreement between City of Covington, Newton County Board of Commissioners, and Newton County Water and Sewer Authority. The purpose of this union was to make possible the development of a state of the art Geographic Information System or GIS. This was necessary in order to improve the ability of these agencies to respond in a rapidly changing environment.
GIS provides the following products and services: digital data, spatial analysis, hardcopy maps and custom reports. On June 19, 2018, the Board of Commissioners approved a new fee schedule for GIS products. Pricing information and a list of available datasets can be found here. Please note that we no longer accept cash. Valid forms of payment are checks and credit cards.
Newton County, City of Covington, and all other entities involved in the GIS mapping process hereby disclaim any warranty or any other liability for the accuracy of this data, whether in printed or digital format. All data provided by said entities is for informational/planning purposes only and may not be relied upon as evidence of the location of property lines, topographical features, landmarks, monuments or for any other legal purpose.
